Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-qualification work experience
- Proven experience in business development or sales
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong research and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Familiarity with tender processes and procurement guidelines will be an added advantage

Job Overview
The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and develop and nurture client relationships to drive growth for Arizo Investments. This role requires a proactive individual with strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills, capable of working with both large organizations and smaller enterprises to align their needs with our offerings.
Typical Responsibilities
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and client prospects.
- Developing and executing strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Building and managing relationships with prospective clients and strategic partners.
- Conducting client presentations and delivering proposals to secure new contracts.
- Tracking and analysing business performance metrics and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on the progress of business development initiatives
- Track revenue growth, client acquisition, and retention to assess the effectiveness of Business development efforts
Accountabilities
Market research and analysis
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and target markets to identify new business opportunities
- Assess potential markets and client needs to support the development of strategic initiatives
Proposal development and presentations
- Prepare compelling business proposals and presentations to pitch Arizo’s services to potential clients
Client acquisition
- Cultivate relationships with prospective clients, positioning Arizo investment as a trusted partner for their supply and service needs
Client Relationship management
- Build and maintain strong-lasting relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and prompt issue resolution
Cross-functional collaboration
- Work closely with the Operations Director, Finance and teams to ensure smooth execution of clients’ projects
- Provide market insights and client feedback to help shape product development and service offerings
